This past Saturday we had our annual BOD elections. Three seats were up for election and two of those people were running for their seats again. Both Erin and Joe got re-elected to their seats, and Ned got elected to serve in the vacant slot. New BOD officer positions are:

Busy Weekend!

Saturday was a busy day with loads turning all day and fun jumpers out enjoying some beautiful weather! We celebrated a 2,500th jump with a hula hoop dive, had another student get their A license, and had a number of fun jumpers participate in a high pull organized by Smike. We ended the day with a long (but productive) BOD meeting followed by a long (but productive) Membership meeting. Thanks to all the members who came out to share their thoughts on the state of the club! And thanks to Smike for cooking another amazing meal- fried chicken wings is a great late summer dropzone dinner!

Skydive Orange Women Set New VA State Head Down Record!

On Saturday, July 30th, 5 talented women came together to set a new Virginia State Women's Head Down Record. Led by visiting coach and organizer Melanie Curtis, the 5 women- Nancy Koreen, Shonda Smith, Laura Wagner, Lisa Eckman, and Melanie- set the new record on their very first attempt. There to document the jump was long time Orange videographer John "Elmo" Elmore.
