We jump in Orange, Virginia. We advertise so people Googling for Skydive Baltimore and Baltimore tandem skydiving can find us because:
1) We already seem to get a good number of people happily making the drive from the Baltimore area to jump here in Orange, VA after they do their research on skydiving centers; they seem to have a good time here, and we'd like to help more of them find us. We're telling you up front** the drive from Baltimore is 133 mi (about 2 hours 32 mins) - lots of Baltimore area skydivers come out the night before and camp out with us, no charge if you are jumping. On summer Friday and Saturday evenings, you will probably find the experience quite entertaining, we have showers, bathrooms, fire pit, grills...
2) Although there are other legitimate USPA group member skydiving places*, our study of Google search results for Baltimore skydiving showed that there are many Google "Sponsored ads" from the same company which uses many different websites and calls itself several different business names. We've also heard from some of those people who they unexpectedly sent hundreds of miles away to make their skydives, added extra charges, and were very, very unhappy with their experience, and we want to let others know Skydive Orange is here for them instead.
*USPA is the United States Parachute Association, the official organization that sets skydiving instructional standards, issues instructor ratings, and lists their group member Drop Zones on their website. We suggest you check out their website if you are thinking of skydiving somewhere else in order to make sure you are jumping with a reputable skydiving place. We recommend only jumping at USPA group member drop zones.
**And not hidden in the fine print, either. The 133 mi (about 2 hours 32 mins) Distance and Drive time above is in good ol' MS font size 4 (14 Pt). There is a skydiving place hat uses hundreds of names and hundreds of websites that we have to compete with which has scheduled Skydive Baltimore first time tandem skydivers only to send them hundreds of miles away and mislead them about where they are. We have one location and it is in Orange, VA.
