Skydive Orange, Inc., operates at Orange County Airport (OMH) 3200' paved, in Orange, Virginia, operating as a club, with a membership of over 100 active members. Over 20,000 skydives were made in 2002 at Skydive Orange, a member of the United States Parachute Association offering quality instruction at competitive prices. Everyone at Skydive Orange is committed to safe skydiving. We take our fun and our safety seriously. So come on and SKYDIVE! Speaking of airports, if you are looking for a specific airport's Automated Weather Observation System (AWOS) information, there is a listing of Virginia AWOS's on http://www.faa.gov/asos/map/va.cfm Cell Phone Service at Orange- I asked the regular skydivers' advice on which cell phone companies work at Skydive Orange and which don't. Here's what they said: GOOD: I have Alltel and love it (From Orange resident) I've used both Cingular (GSM) and Verizon at the DZ. Both work well at the DZ itself. Cingular (GSM) didn't work well in the town of Orange. Ntelos works well roaming at the airport, but hardly works at all in Orange, and hardly works at all heading west out of Orange on Rt 15. Cingular: cingular works just fine at Orange. I'm not sure if it's "extended" service or not as my plan doesn't charge extra for roaming. Cingular works well at SOI and in town. Cingular works well at the DZ and in town. I have cingular, and it seems to work at Skydive Except for actually in my house (which I think is just a weird, annoying, exception), Cingular works really well all over Orange. Verizon: Verizon is the only provider that ALWAYS gets perfect
reception. Verizon works great. I get decent coverage at the hangar with Verizon go with Verizon, they are the BOMB and work fabulously at the DZ Verizon has a tower in Orange, so it is in the home network there and works great. FAIR TO MIDDLIN': Sprint Roaming at Skydive Orange and throughout town BAD: T-mobile doesn't work in either the town of Orange, or Skydive
Orange.
