Skydive Orange sponsors RW and Freefly load organizers for experienced jumpers most spring, summer, and fall weekends. Many jumpers are home-grown Orange talent, but many have come from far and wide to make Orange their new home. Check out the Events Calendar to see who is organizing or sign up at Manifest.
I got my license at Orange in 2006 and have over 800 jumps. I really enjoy coaching freely basics and love watching people progress and hone their skills. If you're thinking about learning to backfly or sitfly, or if you want to get in on some fun freefly jumps, come talk to me and let's jump!!!
I got my nick name in 2003 when I started skydiving in Louisa, VA (stick around after sun set and I'll tell you the story at the tiki bar). My wife, Cat, and I moved back to Virginia from Arizona in 2010 and Skydive Orange is our new home. I enjoy belly flying but freeflying is my flavor of choice. I love meeting new people and flying with everyone from all abilities...in groups or 1-on-1. I can help you get on your feet and flying with your friends or put together a funky fun way. My focus in freeflying is flying free with low-pressure fun jumps. If you're looking to have some fun and spread the love, then come grab me and let's fly! 800 skydives (approx 600 Free Fly), 20+ hrs Tunnel Flying, 2008 Sit-Round Record in Eloy, AZ, USPA Coach, USPA PRO rating
I am in love with 4way and any FS flying in general. I competed for two years with Carolina Dynamic in 4-way FS and we placed 3rd in Intermediate at the 2014 USPA National Championships. I have around 750 jumps and believe that success in skydiving comes from always wanting to learn more and challenging yourself. My favorite thing is having a good hard laugh during freefall.
I graduated from Orange's AFF program in January, 2008. I currently have 700+ jumps and my Coach rating. I'm learning to freefly, but I love doing belly jumps and coaching students. I am also the director of VPC, the regional 4 way competition, the captain of the 2013 team Blockwork Orange, and the treasurer of our board.
I have been jumping since 2007 and have accumulated about 900 jumps. I have stayed dedicated to belly flying and have recently begun focusing on the competitive side of skydiving. I love jumping with anyone that wants to learn and try new things.
I’ve been jumping for many years, and I still enjoy bringing people together in the sky to stretch their limits and excite their imaginations. For me, the fun is not the formations of each individual point, but rather the transitions from one point to the next. I love to fly, and as an organizer, I strive for equal-equity dives, meaning everyone gets to fly, and everyone is challenged. Hope to share the sky with you :D
I got my A license at Skydive Orange in 2004 and since then I have accumulated more than 1,100 jumps. I am a member of Blockwork Orange, an 8 way FS team. I live in Laurel, MD and when I'm not skydiving, I'm a rocket scientist working at NASA. I enjoy RW and participate in VPC, scrambles, bigways, and am excited to organize others!
I've been Jumping since September 2006. I have more than 1,500 jumps. I am a belly flyer and I have competed at Nationals in 4-way, 8-way, & 16-way every year since 2009. I am a coach and an AFF instructor. I love helping people do their first jump and seeing them fall in love this awesome sport! When I am not jumping I am an environmental lawyer on Capitol Hill.
