There's a time and place for everything- and it's called college.
Many UVA students had their first freefall adventure with us
at the Skydive Orange Skydiving club, and have been coming back for years,
making thousands of freefall skydives and many hours of freefall time.
There have always been a large showing of UVA students at Skydive Orange. We
are conveniently located between Northern Virginia and UVA, so there have
been many UVA students from NOVA who have become outstanding skydivers
at Skydive Orange who started at UVA. Skydive Orange skydivers
sometimes parachute into Scott Stadium, and it is quite a thrill to parachute
into a UVA game.

The Drop Zone weekend experience is a blast! I suggest coming out the
night before, rather than making an early morning trip from UVA. If you are from Northern Virginia/DC, we are still reasonably close so
you can continue jumping with us when you are back home. Our Drop Zone is
between NOVA and UVA.
Now that our 22-person Turbine
Aircraft goes to over 13,000', we are poised for an even greater
increase in University of Virginia students becoming skydivers via AFF at
Skydive Orange. Extra freefall time from our 22 jumper twin Otter aircraft
(not to mention increased safety with the most popular skydiving aircraft)
increases AFF jump freefall time otherwise made from the
small plane increases your learning time, thus giving you an even better
skydiving value.
