Skydiving for charity is a great way to give back. There are lots of ways to raise money skydiving, whether it’s a tandem skydive right through to a full blown event at the dropzone.
At Skydive Orange, we love raising money to help various charities, and we host charity skydiving events throughout the year.
But what is it, you might be wondering, that causes sane people to jump from perfectly good airplanes in the name of charity? Let us explain…
One of the greatest things about skydiving is that it’s a huge, global community.
People from all walks of life come to enjoy a shared passion, putting their past and their worries behind them to focus on the here and now. Incredible people, who have so many differences between them, are united by the thing they love to do most – skydiving!
That’s amplified even more when you start talking about skydiving for charity.
Skydivers love to get involved and are super helpful when it comes to organizing events. And because it’s such a diverse community, there’s pretty much one of every skill set available amongst our jumpers, from marketers who can promote the event to chefs who can man the barbecue to awesome skydivers who can jump into events to really get the party started!
When you’re falling at 120mph through the skies, it’s hard to think of anything except what’s happening right here, right now.
But with every single jump, we’re aware of how precious life is and how much we value what we have and what we’re able to do.
That’s why charity events are so important to us. They help us focus on people who may have been dealt a more challenging hand than us, and to do something positive to contribute to making their lives better.
It’s a chance to celebrate what the human spirit can overcome and what an incredible species we really are.
When we put on a charity skydiving event, we love to work closely with the organizations themselves. This means we can tailor the event to their style and get the most out of it.
Over the years, we’ve been privileged to work with amazing organizations including the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Richmond, Hold My Hand for Life Foundation, Students Helping Honduras and many, many more.
We love opening up our community to these organizations and we are so humbled when they welcome us into theirs, too.
There are so many reasons charity skydiving events are important to us, and why we’re sure you’ll love them too. Keep an eye on our blog for upcoming events, or if you’re interested in making your very first skydive a charity skydive, get in touch today and we’ll be happy to help.
