Operational Update Regarding COVID-19

Wednesday, March 18, 2020

Skydive Orange has decided to close operations to the public until April 1st, 2020. It is with great deliberation that we have come to this conclusion, but feel it is our moral and ethical obligation and our civic responsibility to do our part to curb the spread of this virus. We hope that a two-week closure will allow our staff and instructors to self-quarantine, to minimize social contact at the Drop Zone, and to eliminate the risks of exposure to our tandems students and guests.

We are asking all scheduled tandem students and those registered for our AFF First Jump Courses to reschedule on or after April 1st. For our licensed jumpers, we will plan to open to our full-time schedule at that time (Wed.-Sun.)

In addition, we are canceling our Cinco de Mayo Boogie (scheduled May 1-3) in accordance with the CDC’s recommendations to limit organized events for the next eight weeks.

We are monitoring and following the CDC guidelines, as well as state and local government for guidance, and will take further action as warranted. Hopefully, if we all make a small sacrifice now, we can reap bigger rewards in a couple of weeks by knowing the transmission of the virus has slowed and that the number of reported cases has reversed with a downward trend.

We look forward to sharing the skies with all of you in April! Stay safe and be well. And remember to take care of each other during these trying times.
