Our HALO tandem skydive is the ultimate skydiving experience. If you’re an intrepid adventurer looking to push the boundaries and experience an exhilarating, once in a lifetime adventure, then a HALO skydive might be for you.
The acronym HALO stands for high altitude low opening. During a HALO tandem skydive you and your instructor will jump from an altitude of 17,500 feet – that’s over 3 miles above the ground! Jumping from a higher altitude allows you to experience the exhilarating thrill of freefall for an extended period of time. You will rush through the sky at 120mph for roughly 80 seconds – up to 35% longer than a regular tandem skydive!
The preparation and training required for making a HALO tandem skydive are the same as those for a normal tandem jump. However, because the air becomes thinner as altitude increases, jumpers are required to take supplemental oxygen during the airplane ride to altitude.
As of the beginning Covid-19 we are not conducting HALO skydives. When making a HALO skydive you need supplemental oxygen, which requires mouth pieces, and our instructors are not comfortable handling that for strangers at this time. We hope to start doing HALO’s again late Summer/Fall of 2021.
Book your skydive online today! HALO Tandems are only offered May through October due to the cold temperatures above 14K feet in the winter months. If you have additional questions about our HALO skydive, please contact us – our team would be happy to answer your questions and assist you with your booking.
